Persie House is a spacious and comfortable country home, engulfed in peaceful tranquility and surrounded by beautiful Perthshire countryside in the centre of its own stunning 1500 acre estate, making it the ideal hideaway which guests are free to walk over and enjoy within the constraint of a working farm.

The ambiance and furniture reflect the tradition of comfortable country living, blended with high quality accessories one would expect for luxurious modern living, allowing you to relax and enjoy the combination of the charm of an old hunting lodge with the comforts of a modern home. Yet Persie is only an hour away from Edinburgh Airport and many of Scotland's famous tourist attractions.

Situated at the foot of the Highlands, near Glenshee, its winding salmon rivers and backdrop of majestic mountains have something to offer everyone.

The house itself is a lovely Edwardian turreted former shooting lodge set within its own policies. The house provides accommodation for up to 24 people with a dormitory bedroom (ideal for children) on the top floor.

The drawing room, with its open fire and large bay window overlooking the garden, has a comfortable elegance, whilst the study provides a cosy retreat in which to spend some quiet time sitting in front of a roaring log fire. The dining room, which can comfortably seat 20, is a fabulous setting for candlelit dining whether it be a formal dinner or a more relaxed family meal. Guests can then retire to the drawing room or even to the games room for table tennis or dancing.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with an Aga, pantry, electric double oven and gas hob, dishwasher, laundry room, cold room and two cloakrooms. Persie House is available on a self-catering basis, however full shopping and first class catering services can be arranged. The local village shop/Post Office can supply and deliver newspapers, milk, eggs, and rolls on a daily basis.

A popular retreat for large groups and family occasions, Persie is a very special place enjoyed by all the family, with extensive grounds to explore, wonderful mature gardens and an enclosed garden to the front. There are a multitude of activities available which cannot fail to fully occupy Persie's guests.

Persie house is also licensed for wedding ceremonies if you are looking for a unique venue for your special day.

Beautiful castle in beautiful grounds. Like stepping back in time. Would highly recommend if you want to live like Downton Abbey briefly. The Birthday dinner prepared by the housekeeper and his wife was fantastic with venison off the estate.

Persie House is now a special place for our 11 member family. From all the places we stayed on our venture through Scotland, all our grandchildren between 10-8 want to go back to Persie House next year. The hosts were wonderful. We hiked, fished, barbecued, sat by evening fires, and even had the opportunity to clay pigeoned shoot. It was a wonderful place to be together as a family- spacious and yet cozy around the kitchen table in the morning and the dining room table in the evening. Our only minor disappointment were the old chairs that were very uncomfortable. I hope grandchildren we may return again.

If you are looking for that memorable highland break with family & friends look no further this place is absolutely stunning !! As soon as you enter the private drive way the anticipation begins and as you turn the corner and first set eyes on the place you will know you've made the right decision. As soon as we entered Persie House it felt like home from home and we instantly all relaxed. After the grand tour (Gerard and Cherry are amazing, nothing is too much trouble), we started to explore, and I promise you in a week you won't want to leave. The loch is fab and filled with beautiful brown trout, we had lots of fish daily with 3 over 1lb (straight on the BBQ). Black water if there's no fish running still a fab place for a picnic and a glass or two...and then the swimming loch, brace yourself the water is a little nippy but what a place to swim and a great way to cool down (we had a week of sunshine so afternoons were often spent messing around in the water). Gardens are amazing, and plenty of space for all the games you can think of, Crocket set was great fun. From reading the visitors book it's obvious that so many people return time & time again, and we will be joining that club that's for sure!!

Wonderful weekend stay in absolutely magnificent surroundings. Gerrard and Sherry took great care of us, and we'd go back in a heartbeat. Really lovely location, and very highly recommended by everyone in our party.
    Mr Clark - June 2012
We had a fantastic weekend in suprisingly 30 degree sunshine. Persie House has everything you could ever need for a luxurious escape from reality - tennis court, boating pond (or swimming in our case), the biggest baths ever and a grand dinning room.
    Mrs Shirra - May 2012
The property is excellent- large, well equipped and the location id fantastic. The housekeepers were particularly helpful in making sure we had everything we needed.
