The house accommodation, which consists of 3 double rooms, 5 twins, 1 dormitory for up to 8 people and 2 additional family bedrooms, sleeps up to 30 people and is included in the advertised rent charge. The cottage has an extra double bedroom, twin bedroom and a sofa bed to accommodate up to 6 more people. There is an extra charge for the cottage accommodation.

Pitcalzean is a truly splendid large holiday house where the owners have thought of almost everything you could possibly need for a great holiday. Not only is it a stunning Georgian building, it has gorgeous gardens complete with an idyllic secret walled garden now laid to lawn and perfect for picnics or weddings. The main gardens are full of mature trees which hold a tree house, swings, flying fox and more; perfect for kids. Rolling lawns give way to beautiful views across the Cromarty Firth as far as the Cairngorms - breathtaking! The house was once visited by the Queen and Prince Philip who also dined in the elegant dining room.

Inside this magnificent house there are many bedrooms and an almost equally good supply of bathrooms. The house has a traditional and comfortable feel with plenty of public rooms, multi fuel wood burners, and a great snooker room with full size table. Original features and beautiful fireplaces give the house an elegant feel. The attic bedroom will delight children, with one double and 5 singles in one room; ideal for some fun. A good kitchen that's well designed to enable you to cater for this number but full or partial catering can also be arranged.

The Ceilidh Barn is a separate building, formerly the Coach House, that has been recently renovated to make a wonderful space for a night's celebrations (at an additional £250). Whether it is a small wedding, anniversary or birthday, the Barn will come into its own. A cottage is joined to the house, but with a separate access, and sleeps a further 6 people so you will not run out of space.

This is a delightful part of the Highlands. There are fantastic beaches nearby such as Portmahomack - a short drive away that makes Pitcalzean a good destination for families. The area offers plenty other activities from golf at Royal Dornoch to dolphins in the Firth. Nearby Tain has all the facilities you could need and make sure you visit the Glenmorangie distillery and the Anta shop. A superb holiday house that sleeps a large number in comfort and peace.
