A home from home - but with a much better view!! Come here every year. Lovely owners, who deserve a special place in heaven for putting up with my mad dog!
    Miss Robertson - April 2019
This little house was perfectly situated near enough to Lamlash to walk into for the bars and restaurants but far enough away to remain peaceful. The decking outside was great to have breakfast on and enjoy the amazing view of Holy Isle. The hosts were great and made sure we didn't have any issues and the prosecco was a lovely touch as we were celebrating our anniversary.
    Mrs Dean - November 2018
What a lovely little studio and the owners could not have been nicer. We will definitely be staying again in future
    Miss Sullivan - October 2018
Excellent place to stay on Arran. Stunning views, lovely decking area to sit out on after a long day exploring. Very friendly and helpful owners. Thoroughly recommended.
    Mr Whittingham - August 2018
we have now stayed at this property four times and intend to again.....that says it all really
    Mr Byrne - July 2018
Loved this little studio - charming garden, tucked away at the best end of the village for wildlife spotting and peace and quiet. Studio itself had all you needed, and was very comfortable and cosy. We had perfect weather so sat out on the deck and enjoyed being out and about. Loads to do on Arran - great little island which has everything that’s great about Scotland all rolled into one place.
    Mrs Dulake - May 2018
The accommodation was comfortable, warm, clean and easy to find. Instructions were clear. Views were superb. All that we needed was there.
    Mrs Dickinson - May 2018
This was our third visit to Prospect Hill Studio with our Labrador. Fantastic view from the deck and garden and upstairs lounge across to Holy Island, peaceful location about 30 minutes walk alongside the beach to Lamlash centre and our favourite doggy friendly pub, Pier Head tavern, good beer and food. The studio is comfortable, well maintained and equipped. Meals and sitting out on the new outside furniture, weather permitting, enjoying the views are memorable. Friendly helpful owners Stuart and Angela close by if needed. We love it!
    Mrs Snape - April 2018
We spent a very nice week in prospect hill studio with plenty to do with some nice nights out.
    Mr Milne - December 2017
This studio was small, although there were just two of us. The bed is only 4' which surprised us. Apart from that it was clean and comfortably furnished. We had virtually 14 days of torrential rain, so it was lovely to come home to a warm house with lots of hot water. It was quite well equipped,we did go and buy a casserole dish as the weather was not conducive to long walks, and we both enjoy cooking. The great bonus is a perfect view of Holy Isle and the bay. We have been visiting Arran, always Lamlash for nearly 30 years and only once was that view missing. We like Made on Arran and Janie's at Duchess Court for coffee and snacks. The Brasserie has wonderful food but we also prefer to eat at Glenisle and the Bar at the Douglas,we didn't want to go too far at night. The PHT is very noisy, great if you like constant loud music - we don't - the food there is good. We are partially disabled so no longer tackle Goat Fell and its surrounding hills. In good weather, there is a good walk from Kilmory (get the bus) to Whiting Bay or to Dyemills. The Castle was closed but there are lots of walks around the grounds. Lochranza to Laggan, then either back past Fairy Glen or along to the Fallen Rocks and North Glen Sannox is strenuous abut has wonderful views. Glen Rosa, Glen Sannox and Glen Catacol are good as is the the round from Pirnmill. The latter for the energetic.
    Mrs Wood - September 2017
Spend a week here in July and had a lovely time. The studio had everything we needed. The weather was very kind and we enjoyed sitting out on the decking area. The view over Lamlash Bay and The Holy Isle is stunning. It was lovely to get up each morning and enjoy our breakfast looking out at such a gorgeous view. The location was good and didn't take us long to get here from the ferry terminal. (about 10 minutes) The studio is about a mile and a half from Lamlash village where there is a co-op and plenty places to eat or have a quiet drink and watch the world go by. If you have a dog with you I highly recommend The Pierhead Tavern in Lamlash as well as Little Rock in Brodick very dog friendly. I don't often return to a place again but I would go back here as it had everything we needed and the location was fab.
Mr And Mrs Motion - July 2017
Although a bit on the small side, it was beautifully presented, very clean and tidy and with everything you needed. A lovely decked area to sit out on complete with a sun umbrella that we actually needed! Great shower and nice to have a separate WC. Beautiful walks right from the door, either beach or over the hills to Brodick. Lovely garden but only minor downside, as we had a dog, was that it was not totally enclosed so had to barricade ourselves on the decking area ! The high tech hob took some getting used to (we are getting on a bit!) so it would have been nice to have some instructions (also for the microwave) They might have been around but we couldn't find them! All in all, a lovely place to stay and would recommend it.
    Mr White - June 2017
Prospect Hill is a great location for a holiday - the house is well equipped and spacious, apart from the bedroom which is small though adequate. The views from the house are wonderful across the Firth of Clyde to Holy Isle, which is well worth a visit. Lamlash is a pleasant village with a variety of shops. The owners who live next door were welcoming & the bottle of wine they left was a nice touch. Altogether a lovely & relaxing holiday - we shall certainly be returning. The supply of wi-if would be a welcome addition.
    Mr Pye - May 2017
Excellent compact and bijou property in a wonderful, tranquil location with a stunning view across to the Holy Isle. Prospect Hill Studio is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We were extremely fortunate to see red squirrels on the lawn outside and also playing in the trees whilst we sat out on the decked balcony - absolutely marvellous. The weather was amazing and we had packed far too many fleeces and waterproofs! Highly recommend the Brodick Bar & Brasserie - excellent food and we're very fussy! The Pierhead Tavern is good for a drink and decent pub food after a good days walk too. Recommend a visit to the Holy Isle - tranquil and a haven for flora and fauna. We explored much of Arran which is lovely and is definitely Scotland in miniature. We shall return and we would have no hesitation in booking Prospect Hill Studio again. The Welcome card and wine were a lovely touch and greatly appreciated.
    Mrs Donnerstag-reeve - May 2017
Our second visit to prospect hill studio with our dog and we can't wait to return next year. Fantastic location and view, private sunny deck and garden. Very pleasant walk to the village of Lamlash, best food and welcome at doggy friendly Pier Head tavern. Very comfortable cosy accommodation, well equipped for all your needs, we loved it.
    Mrs Snape - April 2017
Great studio in beautiful surroundings. Was perfect for our brief 3 day visit to the island. The studio had everything we need. Clean, tidy, facilities for cooking, and good heating. Stunning view of Holy Isle from upstairs in the studio. Only a few minutes walk from the Lamlash shops, bar and restaurants. The owners were great. Very hospitable. A lovely welcome card and a bottle of wine was waiting for us when we arrived. The only one problem we had was keeping in touch with of our emails. We couldn't get a phone signal on Lamlash, and because there was no internet in the studio, we couldn't check our emails there. If it had an internet connection, it would have been a 5 star review. However, maybe the lack of internet is the attraction for some people. And the owners and agency were transparent about having no internet. Despite this, I would still highly recommend this studio, and I would go back again. Thank you!
    Mr Baker - January 2017
Beautiful cosy accomodation with fantastic views and easy access to great walks. So nice to be able to take the dogs with us on holiday. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas and looked very welcoming. The New Year's card and bottle of bubbly was such a nice touch. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend a holiday here- can't wait to go back again!
    Mrs Turner - December 2016
Compact little house in a wonderful position to enjoy a peaceful holiday. Location ideal - tucked away with a stunning view yet handy for access to all amenities. Recommend a visit to Arran outdoor shop for all your walking needs. Directions were easy to follow to find the house on arrival and we had all the facilities we needed once there. So nice to find a house for 2 that allows waggy tails to stay too. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
    Miss Lowe - November 2016
Lovely little studio for two of us plus dog. Compact and easy to keep tidy and great use of space. Lovely views of the Holy Isle and Lamlash Bay. Peaceful but an easy and pleasant walk of about a mile into Lamlash. Saw seals frequently on the walk in, as well a red squirrel in our garden. We also had great neighbours in the next door property. Pier Head Tavern in the village allowed dogs and so had 2 nice meals there. A perfect break in a lovely small property with all the equipment you need.
    Mr Rhind - July 2016
The cottage is quite small, just about OK for 2 people. The bedroom is downstairs and the lounge upstairs, which is actually a good thing as you can benefit from the fantastic views, across to Holy Island. Whilst the cottage is fairly petite, the bathroom is quite big and there is a separate loo. There are enough electric heaters around to keep the warm. It is really well equipped and is in a quiet location, with no passing traffic. All in all, we had a enjoyable stay and if we return to Arran, would certainly consider using Prospect Hill Studio again.
    Mr Hopkinson - May 2016
It was our first visit to Arran and we stayed at Prospect Hill Studio at the beginning of May for 5 nights, not long enough! We were accompanied by our Labrador Bella who cant wait to return next year. Good location within short walking distance of Lamlash, superb views over the sea, small but well appointed accommodation, very comfortable and everything you could possibly need, lovely deck to the front which is a real sun trap all day long. Lots of lovely walks, and natural coastal scenery, some good places to eat in Lamlash, particular mention to doggy friendly Pierhead Tavern, good food and good beer.
    Mrs Snape - May 2016
This is my fourth stay in this great wee studio: cosy and comfortable, with a fantastic view! Just love it!
    Miss Robertson - April 2016
Love Arran Prospect Hill Studio great place to stay if you love to walk - we will be back love it xxx
    Mr Clotworthy - March 2016
Prospect Hill Studio is perfect for a relaxing break for 2 people. It is very compact but well planned and has a wonderful view of Holy Island. The beach at Blackwaterfoot is great for dog walking and we love playing golf on the different courses on the island.
    Mrs Henderson - August 2015
We have never had such a peaceful place to stay with fantastic views over to holy Island I would recommend to anyone. The owners were very helpful as Ferry Strike was happening and they contacted us to let us know. Also beforehand they couldn't do enough for us. They even left a bottle of wine :-). The studio was as it says and for us two its just what we wanted as so many cottages are for four plus and then gets more expensive. We got home to Cardiff and we both felt as though we had had a holiday. Seal watching was fab as they we just on the beach and so much wildlife.
    Mrs Baker-thomas - July 2015
Great cottage, although small was very well equipped & comfortable.
    Mrs Dunn - May 2015
We really enjoyed our stay at Prospect Hill. It is a cosy apartment for two with magnificent views over to Holy Island. The house is well equipped with quality fittings (included a super electric blanket for those chilly nights!) and is bright and clean, We saw red squirrels on the lawn, numerous sea birds and seals resting on the rocks at the shore. Walking into Lamlash takes about 20 mins with wonderful views all the way. Great holiday destination.
    Anonymous - May 2015
Comfortable wee house ,suitable for a couple.
    Mr Pellenkoft - April 2015
My wee dog and I spent a lovely week at Prospect Hill in October. Compact and cosy and great to come home to after a day's walking and exploring Arran. Beautiful view and very helpful and friendly owners. Highly recommend.
    Miss Robertson - October 2014
Lovely compact cottage ideal for 2 however may not be comfortable for tall people. Well equiped but we needed to buy clothes airer for wet days. Decking area great place to look over bay to Holy Isle.
    Mrs Clarke - August 2014
Great wee house - everything you need. Would use again
    Miss Blaszk - July 2014
Accommodation spotless in a stunning setting.View just amazing perfect spot for people wanting a peaceful holiday away from it all but not remote everything short drive away. Garden lovely with red squirrel frequent visitor. Pet friendly too .Had great time with our 5 month old pup xx Snug home just right for two plus dog .
    Mrs Gilraine - July 2014
Great location. Accommodation comfortable & clean. Bedroom a bit on the small side. Plenty to do & see on Arran including some excellent walking.
    Mr Fielding - June 2014
Lovely little cottage. Small but not cramped though the bedroom was a bit snug! If there had been more than two of us (plus dog) then it would have been far too crowded and after all there were only two chairs for the table. Kitchen well equipped, but no sharp knives! Upstairs living room has a lovely view over Holy Isle. Owners seemed very nice.
    Mr Jedrosz - December 2013
Stayed for a week in July with my dog Byron.Brilliant place ,great layout. Very good facilities and spotless.Great deck area Could see an otter swimming am from lounge and a red squirrell using garden. Would highly recommend.
    Miss Reilly - July 2013
