Rhumhor House enjoys an idyllic position surrounded by outstanding natural beauty on the beautiful shores of Loch Goil. Secluded and peaceful, this delightful turreted Victorian holiday house blends traditional character with modern facilities to provide the best mix of comfort and period charm and offers the perfect setting in which to relax and unwind.

Comfortably sleeping up to nine guests, this wonderful holiday home offers lots of space for family and friends to spread out. The impressive drawing room with its tall bay window and grand fireplace is stylishly furnished and the richly decorated dining room with its large table and chandelier creates the perfect backdrop for memorable holiday meals. The small, yet fully equipped galley kitchen has everything needed for holiday catering. Light floods in from the 7ft window on the half landing and perfectly frames the beautiful views to the hills behind – this is a lovely spot for relaxing in the two comfy armchairs with a good book. The best surprise of all must be the huge vaulted-ceiling family room complete with a pool table, 52inch TV and a wood-burning stove surrounded by sumptuous seating – what a fabulous space for everyone to come together. From here doors open onto decking with benches and to the side is a 6-person hot tub with loch views.

The five bedrooms have been furnished to a high standard with crisp white linen, thick soft throws and matching cushions. The ground floor bedroom boasts a four-poster bed, and a mahogany dressing table and triple mirror elegantly sits in the turreted window of the upstairs double bedroom. A small single bedroom occupies the second turreted window (not suitable for children or the infirm due to the half-step access) and the two spacious front bedrooms have fabulous views across the loch.

The house is surrounded by a large garden and on the edge of the loch there is a private lawn area with a picnic bench. This is a wonderful setting for relaxing with an evening glass of wine while admiring the ever-changing light and sunsets across the loch to the hills beyond.

Conveniently located just over an hour from Glasgow in the Argyll Forest Park and within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, Rhumhor House is an ideal location for exploring the magic of Argyll and the west coast. This is a fantastic area for hill walking, climbing, kayaking and cycling with amazing views around every corner. The area surrounding this glorious sea loch is paradise for nature lovers with endless wildlife to spot including pine martens, wildcats, otters, many water birds, buzzards and even the chance of seeing a golden eagle. The 15th century ruins of Carrick Castle that proudly sits on the loch side is just a short walk away.
