Rossie Ochil House is a beautiful building dating back to the 17th century but now fully modernised to provide a really comfortable, secluded self-catering holiday house. Surrounded by beautiful lawns and woodlands, the house offers great privacy and wonderful walks across the estate, and yet is only 20 minutes from the lovely city of Perth.

The house itself gives spacious, flexible and attractive accommodation with 6 en-suite bedrooms and plenty of public areas with its two lounges, large dining room and a fitted kitchen with AGA. There are two additional pull out beds which can be set up in any bedroom. For days when the weather is not so good, you can enjoy the large plasma TV. There is an additional entertainment lodge with large lounge, kitchen, bar and dining room where we can cater for a special celebratory or anniversary meal, which is available by separate arrangement.

The Annex (sleeping 4), comprising of lounge, kitchen (with dishwasher), 2 bedrooms (double/zip-linked), bathroom with shower over bath, is available on request at an extra cost.

Catering services available by prior arrangement with the owner at an extra charge.

    Rossie Ochil reviews
This was a family holiday with ages ranging from 2 to 72. There was plenty to keep everyone occupied both in and around the house. The optional annexe is split level on the first floor which isn't explained in the property description...could be an issue for anyone with restricted mobility. The house had everything you could want and is set in beautiful and well kept surroundings with wide open lawned spaces for games, interesting wildlife and walks. Would certainly consider returning at a future date.

Rossie Ochil House was the perfect venue for our Autumn family holiday, providing plenty of accommodation for our family ranging from 75 years down to 2 years old. This property also provides plenty of communal space for all ages particularly useful on wet days. The games room with a snooker table and darts was very popular with most of the family and we enjoyed the added bonus of a piano, albeit a little out of tune! The family kitchen with its huge AGA proved to be the hub of our activities. We thoroughly enjoyed the local walks even in the rain as when we returned to Rossie Ochil there was ample space for washing and drying wet clothes and boots. A day trip to the Falkirk Wheel was the highlight of the holiday which was enjoyed by young and old alike. We would definitely recommend a visit to the Wheel. Guests should be aware that this is a working Estate and should check when there is likely to be a local shoot as this may impact on their activities especially people with small children.

The pictures do not do it justice! It's a beautiful house, very spacious, warm and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful and it's so peaceful. We all were surprised with what good value this property is. It has everything you need!

This was a great venue for a family holiday with my 4 sons, daughter-in-law, 2 girlfriends and 2 small grandsons. Lots to do within an hours car journey. We visited Scone Palace, Scotlands Secret Bunker, Blair Castle, Pitlochry, St Andrews, Lochleven Castle and the RSPB reserve at Vale Farm. The boys and their partners went off and did a distillery tour at Tullibardine distillery which is quite close whilst we babysat.
    Mrs Thompson - August 2014
For me, the location was perfect. I have family 30 minutes away in two directions, but for a tourist, the house is well located for many attractions. I really appreciated the well equipped kitchen, as we ate in and entertained. We had different people to stay during the week so I also appreciated the washing liquid and dishwasher tabs and the pulley. We have rented houses in the past and have not even got salt and pepper, coming from overseas,we don't travel with these things. A grater, measuring jug and scales were unexpected marvels. Couldn't get the extractor to work, just couldn't work it out. The house is very spacious and we loved having a bathroom each. Our young visitors enjoyed the climbing frame and trampoline and the abundant wildlife. Pool table was appreciated too.
    Mrs Dobson - August 2013
The house was a perfect venue for our family of mixed ages to come together - excellent accommodation and equipment, very comfortable. We know all the local attractions well but enjoyed the stunning scenery and local walking on the Ochils, also the peace and local wildlife around us. Two small things would have made it even more perfect - some handles in toilet or shower for disabled/elderly, and more prominent information about the central heating (e.g how to turn off etc), especially as the boiler was unusually situated outside the house.
    Mrs Harris - August 2012
Rossie Ochil more than lives up to it's five star rating. Fully equiped with top quality equipment and furnishings. Beautiful gardens and grounds. Beautiful location. The only thing we missed was a barbeque.
