    St Hubert's Lodge reviews
Just back from a fantastic week at St Huberts Lodge. We were overwhelmed by the sheer size of the lodge and the space in all the rooms. Large kitchen for everyone to muck in with the cooking, well equipped with everything you could need, 2 separate living rooms, fantastic views out of every window. En suite bedrooms and comfortable beds there is nothing I can think of to fault this place. Even a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and ice machine what a bonus that was! The Lodge is clean and well looked after and we really did not want to leave.
    Mrs Finlayson - April 2019
Had a great time as always it was nice to see that the house has had quite a few up grades The staff are so helpful nothing is any trouble for them King size beds next please :)
    Mrs Roach - December 2018
Had a good week up at the lodge, everything you need is there, plenty of space for everyone.
    Mr Chalmers - July 2018
Lovely lodge and setting. Great place for a family get together.
    Mrs Wood - May 2018
What an amazing lodge! Fabulous views! The lodge is very well furnished with large rooms Susan and Kevin couldn't be more helpful ! Dogs loved it can't wait to return
    Mr Jones - April 2018
Love this house . Family been staying here since 2007 . We love the location and when we arrive we have the feeling like we are home! Will continue or annual visits as long as we can. There have been some upgrading on furnishings etc. Few more minor upgrades required . Look forward to next year . Would highly recommend this property . The support of Susan and Kevin is second to none .
    Mrs Colbron - April 2017
A beautiful lodge, well built and maintained, and spotlessly clean. Plenty of hot water for lots of people all wanting hot baths after spending days outdoors in wintery weather. The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. A wonderful setting, with good walking in the surrounding woodland and beautiful views of the hills, with stags coming right up to the fence. The track from the A9 is kept in good order, but was tricky in the snow for those of our party without 4-wheel drive vehicles. Minor niggles: the knives and potato peelers in the kitchen were so blunt as to be almost useless, and there were no oven gloves. The central heating was hard to adjust, it either seemed to do sweltering or freezing - though part of that was probably down to the variation in the weather.
    Dr Livingstone - January 2017
Our 6th visit, magical as always, Susan and Kevin great help, love the new furniture, fun house to be in When you renew the beds please make them King size, or just renew the two singles(use the old doubles in that room) and buy at least two king size
    Mrs Roach - December 2016
ideal location for a getaway family holiday. Everything you need for a fantastic time.
    Mr Green - June 2016
St Hubert's always feels like home when we spend our annual family and friends get together. We had our usual walks and also had trips to house of Bruar, Pitlochry, loch rannoch and Blair castle.. Victoria's restaurant in Pitlochry one of the best places to eat!! Hope to continue our annual trip to the house which started in 2007
    Mrs Colbron - April 2016
Excellent well equipped property. Very homely with beautiful views. We spent several days sitting about in the garden and the lounge. Lots of walks from within the estate so no need to use the car. We saw deer feeding just outside the lounge window at dusk and early morning. Great for dogs as they can roam around the garden without fear of escape.
    Mrs Mower - June 2015
Have been visiting this house since 2007. Never disappointed . Great location with easy access to blair atholl ., house of bruar and Pitlochry . Short drive to lots of beautiful places in Perthshire. New couches in drawing room very comfortable. Already looking at organising return to St Huberts next year . Highly recommend this house and location .
    Mrs Colbron - April 2015
This was our 5th time at St Huberts and the house never fails to please us, Plenty of space, great kitchen and lounge for our expended New Years Party , great place to spend with friends and family. Susan and Kevin are the best Housekkepers nothing is to much trouble Would like to see wall hooks in the boot room to hang coats, a group of 12 with winter things a little difficult in the small wardrobe Hope to see you in 2016
    Mrs Roach - December 2014
Absolutely loved our first visit to this property.Brilliant week, weather glorious could not fault the location. Will definetly be back.
    Mrs Reid - July 2014
This was our second visit to St. Hubert's Lodge, and if anything it was even better than the first. - Superb, well equipped house with awe-inspiring views of forests, moors and mountains.
    Mrs Ivens - May 2014
We had a wonderful relaxing holiday at St Hubert's Lodge. Great place to go with friends, family and dogs. We particularly enjoyed seeing deer on our walks with around 100 coming down from the hill one sunny evening. We visited lots of places we knew from previous trips and some new ones. Wonderful butcher in Aberfeldy for game pies. House of Bruar - too near, for lots of great shopping. Spirit of Wood, outside Aberfeldy for great interior shopping and gifts. Watermill Coffee Shop in Blair Atholl (they do great muesli as well as coffee). Atholl Arms for lunch (good to see that they welcome dogs - even our Gordon Setters!). Aberfeldy Watermill - great bookshop, coffee, lunches. House of Menzies - great lunches and good selection of wines and unusual gins for sale. Visited Angus Clyne at the Old Smiddy, Ballinluig - fantastic wooden vessels and sculptures using native woods and amazing landscape photographs. One very large and beautifully carved bowl had to fit into the car for the trip South. Also visited the Macpherson Clan Museum at Newtonmore to catch up on family history. Great to see that Elle Macpherson and I share the same birth year, sadly I haven't enjoyed the same supermodel career! Would thoroughly recommend the lodge and the area. Enjoy.
    Mrs Wood - May 2014
This was my 6th trip to st huberts always feels like I was at home...the location is fantastic...I love to walk and this is the ideal place. Saw the usual wildlife and got some lovely pictures.we intend continuing to book this lodge for our annual family get together.i am sure there are many other beautiful homes available from cottages and castles but we love this place and all treasure the memories we have there. Short drive away from bruar, blair atholl, pitlochry and all surrounding area...
    Mrs Colbron - April 2014
This was our 9th year at St Hubert's Lodge and it was as good as ever. We appreciated the renewed linen and soft white fluffy towels as well as an upgrade to some of the kitchen equipment. The housekeeper, Susan Simpson, and Gamekeeper, Kevin Simpson, could not have been more helpful throughout the week and really improve our enjoyment of our holiday.
    Mrs Williams - February 2014
Great house. Plenty of space which allowed everyone to have a really relaxing time, despite there being 4 small kids in the house!
    Mrs Watson - May 2013
This was my fourth visit to St Huberts and again I loved it....spent time with friends and family, love the house, the location and everything about the area. It is so peaceful here. We plan to make this an annual event and return to make more lovely memories. wish I had booked 2 weeks !
    Mrs Colbron - May 2013
The house was more than adequate for a holiday for 5 couples with all ensuite and large lounge with comfortable seating for all. For that number 2 kettles would have been a bonus, but thermal jugs came in handy. Kitchen well equipped with plenty of crockery. Bedding towels etc all appeared new too, and the house was clean and well presented on arrival and the wine also went down well. Watermill in Blair Athol had great bread daily and good coffee. The house was so perfect with the deer visiting twice a day, and walks through the forrest going far afield was not top of our list on this relaxing break from our normal routine.
    Mrs Gardner - April 2013
Fantastic accommodation in a beautiful, peaceful location. Would recommend the lodge to anyone looking for a quiet get away.
    Mr Coroon - March 2013
We have been going to the house in the Feb half term week now for 7 years. The house itself in terms of location and space is superb. The furnishings however ; bed linen / towels and particularly couches / curtains are tired and need replaced / recovered. The Estate Manager his partner are very welcoming and cannot do enough for us. Their efforts are greatly appreciated and we have come to view them as friends now. We hope to be back next - but would love to come back to a refurbished lounge room - which is weher we spend the majority of our time.
    Mrs Webster - February 2013
This is my forth trip to St Huberts, and we had a great time and enjoyed the house, howerver we did fnd it could do with a little TLC, I did mention to the manager & she said she was due to have a meeting with the owners. (The managers are great to deal with and very helpful) All the teflon pans need replacing the copping boards should be replaced every few months. The carpets in the bathrooms should be replaced with vynl, when the beds are due for replacing they should be replaced with king size beds, the arms on the chairs need to be recovered.
    Mrs Roach - December 2012
Although the house is as expected (our second visit), its now becoming slightly tired looking and in need of minor repair.
    Mr Harrison - July 2012
This is our three visit to St Huberts and yet again we had a great time, we tried the Segway (scooter thing!) at dunkeld Hilton great fun, deer were in the 100's due to the snow. The house is great for a large family/friend group the ensuite bathrooma are a bounus. We had some great snow which makes this house magical. The housekeepers Susan and Kevein are the best we have had in ten years of the Roach new year gathering. nothing was too much trouble, kevein even towed one of the small cars down the track from the house. One general side of things its not a compaint just an observation! the house is now due for a refresh of paint in some areas, the non sick pans need to be replaced, a small portable tv for the big lounge would be good
    Mrs Roach - December 2011
We had a most enjoyable stay in a fantastic house. All that was required was available. The property was quite remote and required good planning to ensure all provisions needed. Our 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed the open spaces. Only downside was the DVD did not work - please pass on to owners so that they can correct for next visitors. Would recommend St Huberts to friends and family.
    Mr Green - June 2011
This was our second visit to St Huberts. The house is great and offers cracking value for money. Excellent cooking facilities, well furnished etc. Only negative comment would be location - the nearest town is about 10 miles so you have to be well prepared and ensure that you dont forget anything. If you like the remoteness this would be ideal. We will definitely be back for a third visit.
    Mr Graham - April 2011
