Please note: This property is only suitable for adults and does not accept pets.

Beautifully renovated in 2015 with fabulous attention to detail throughout, St Minver is a delightful cottage for two just outside the centre of Brodick which benefits from  glorious views both out to sea and up towards the hills.

Set back from the road within beautiful mature gardens, St Minver is just a short walk both to the beach and access to the mountains. The cottage offers a very high standard of accommodation and is in the ideal location for hill walkers, golfers and cyclists alike. It also provides an extremely idyllic setting for those seeking a romantic break.

When it comes to dining, the kitchen caters for the visitor's every need and has its own private outside dining area with views up towards the glen. From here, visitors to St Minver can look forward to the prospect of enjoying some spectacular sunsets over the hills. However, after a long day on the mountains, on the golf course or even, perhaps, relaxing on the beach, one may instead choose to sample some of the many excellent local restaurants in Brodick, all of which can be reached along the shorefront on foot.

The cottage itself offers easy access to many of the attractions that the Isle of Arran has to offer. These include its historical sites, fabulous beaches, its low and high level walks, as well as the Isle of Arran distillery in the north. Brodick Castle and Gardens is also a very pleasant ten minute walk along the coast. For the golf enthusiast, there are seven welcoming golf clubs with courses set in beautiful coastal locations. In addition, the outdoor activity centre in the village of Lamlash offers pursuits such as sea kayaking and canoeing and regular boat trips are also available from the marina. Wildlife enthusiasts will not be disappointed either, with seals, otters and deer regularly sighted around Arran.

For those looking for a more relaxing holiday and some pampering, there is a new spa just a very short walk from St Minver, complete with swimming pool, sauna and steam room. In addition, Brodick offers a wide range of gift shops, galleries, restaurants and specialist food shops, as well as numerous tearooms, restaurants and coffee shops. There is also a supermarket within easy walking distance of the cottage.

Less than ten minutes walk from the ferry and on the regular bus route that runs around the island, St Minver is easily accessible for those who are travelling without a car.

All on ground level:

Entrance is at the rear of the cottage through the patio doors into the kitchen/lounge. Twin bedroom with en-suite shower room with WC & WHB.

    St Minver reviews
Wow !! Pretty much Perfect for a couple or two good friends. Our stay started with a wonderful welcome from Anne & John & a quick tour of the property & facilities. We were delighted with the welcome pack of local produce & essential foods etc. The accommodation with it's seaside theme & the garden area are just wonderful & we found ourselves taking lots of photo's of the quirky way it has all been done. The sea view from the large bedroom window is mesmerizing & you find yourself ship spotting whenever you pass it. The furnishings & all equipment, (even the cutlery), are just right. Although St.Minver is an annex of Anne & John's main property, there was never a time where we felt that it was intrusive during our stay. In fact they are perfect host's & will offer any help with information regarding the surrounding area, local cafe's, & restaurant's if you want it. We had some great meals in Crofters in Brodick, (make sure you book) & they do a great steak night. You will not regret staying at St Minver.
Mr And Mrs Southam - August 2019
We had a fabulous break in this lovely cottage with its amazing views across Brodick Bay. The owners couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the welcome pack was wonderful! We spent a special day on Holy Isle walking round to the lighthouse and enjoyed lovely Scottish tapas at the Auchrannie Hotel nearby. A great holiday on Arran.
    Mrs Adams - July 2019
It is with great pleasure that we have the opportunity to write this review. St Minver has everything you need and more. It is small and cozy but the thought and care that has been taken , in our opinion, excels the 5 star rating. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise. You have a private garden at the back, lovely views of the mountains. At the front you can sit having coffee overlooking the golf course and just watching the ferry coming and going. It is a 10 minute walk into Brodick with numerous good restaurants and 2 co ops for shopping. Many walks straight from the apartment and fantastic scenery if you travel further around the Island , good bus service. We could not finish this review without saying a big thank you to Anne and John our hosts. They made sure we were settled and how everything worked. They gave us so much info on walks places to visit and on Island life. We had 2weeks on the Island and we feel we made2 new friends . Loved the Island and St Minver.
    Mr Hallett - June 2019
We had a wonderful stay, hosts were so welcoming and gave us a lovely tour on arrival and advice on where to visit. Would definitely return.
    Miss French - May 2019
We had a great time staying at St Minver while on holiday in Arran. The cottage is finished to a very high standard and has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. If you’re lucky with the weather - as we were! - the lovely patio area at the rear is a great spot to sit out in. John and Anne are very hospitable and gave us some great advice for walks and places to visit. We loved Arran and would definitely like to return - our stay at St Minver certainly helped to make the holiday for us. Very highly recommended!
    Mrs Murray - May 2019
My second year in a row. I love Arran and St Minver Cottage is a great place to stay. The experience starts with the best of hosts in John and Anne and their lovely wee cottage but for me me the very most outstanding feature are the views especially out the front ?I just love it. The cottage is also conveniently located for beautiful walks and the shops in Brodick. I'll be back.
    Miss Mcdonald - April 2019
Great place to stay John & Anne are really nice will be back
    Mr Alderson - April 2019
Our recent much needed break on the beautiful island of Arran was enhanced in no small measure by the beautiful cottage annexe that is St. Minver. Everything about the accommodation was perfect, from the spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated interior to the wonderful views over the garden to the sea. The enclosed private garden to the rear was a perfect spot to enjoy an all fresco wine (or two!!) and the quirky plant containers made us smile. This wouldn't be possible without John and Ann who were just terrific. From picking us up at the ferry to offering us advice on sightseeing on the island (Glen Rosa was inspiring....thanks John!),nothing was too much trouble. We booked an additional night we enjoyed our stay so much. Should we return to Arran, and we certainly hope to, St. Minver cottage will be out first stop.
    Mrs Mclaughlan - April 2019
We received a warm welcome and a much appreciated welcome gift of prosecco ,cheese, oatcakes and other essentials in the fridge. The accomodation itself is warm ,bright ,beautifully decorated with lots of nice “wee touches” throughout.Everything one would need it to hand and it is vey well located with great views ,access to shops, pubs restaurants, golf ,beach ,spa and swimming all within walking distance. We would recommend Brodick bar and brasserie and if venturing out of Brodick the Drift Inn in Lamlash. St Minver is a lovely place to stay and we would gladly go back again. David and Ann Bruce
    Mr Bruce - December 2018
Lovely place, small but perfectly formed ,nice decor, well kept and spotless.John and Anne are friendly and the perfect hosts.
    Mr Siswick - October 2018
The property and hosts were charming and delightful. We wanted for nothing and found everything to a high standard. In short we had: a wonderful view, extremely clean and comfortable accommodation, excellent location and friendly hosts and neighbours. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this property and will no doubt be revisiting in months to come. In terms of other things we enjoyed I would highlight the Heritage Museum and Rosa Burn Cafe (attached). The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the scones are quite the best I have tasted. One black mark, however, is that the baker (Judith) is unwilling to share the recipe!!
    Mrs Grogan - October 2018
The accommodation was very well equipped and in a great location making the rest of the Island, attractions, points of interest and local services readily accessible. The Owners provided a (very) welcome pack with basic food items. The very popular Fiddlers bar and restaurant was a great venue for coffee, drinks, food and music. Booking advised!
    Mr Armitage - October 2018
Had a great week at St. Minver on the beautiful Isle of Arran. Hospitality throughout the week from Anne and John was fantastic. Their holiday cottage was ideal for two people and was very comfortable and well equipped. The house is located overlooking Brodick Bay and set in a beautiful landscaped garden with a patio where guests can sit and enjoy a view of the mountains. It is only a 10 minute minute walk into Brodick with cafes, shops and a well stocked supermarket. This has been a great find and we hope to return. Andrew and Helen, Musselburgh
    Mr Watt - September 2018
We very much enjoyed the stay at St Minver and especially the warm welcome by hosts Anne and John. The cottage is tastefully decorated and has a well equipped kitchen - a definite plus if you want to sample all locally sourced products from Arran (as you should and we extensively did). And it is just minutes away from our favourite place on the beach where we observed some otters during low tide. We will be back for sure to check out further recommendations by Anne and John and catch a further glimpse of Arran's "big five". Until then we will be spreading the word in Germany!
    Mr Welker - August 2018
An absolutely beautiful apartment with fantastic view from bedroom window, has everything you need for a holiday. Anne and John are absolutely first class hosts who go the extra mile to ensure you feel welcome and are comfortable..the welcome pack was an unexpected surprise but very welcome and a very nice touch. Arran is a lovely place to relax and explore the Island you discover a wealth of very nice tearooms where you are always made to feel welcome. For the more energetic there is plenty of golf courses and plenty of venues for hillwalking.
    Mr Lamberth - August 2018
We had a lovely time staying in St Minver. The house was so nicely decorated which made it feel so bright and welcoming and all of the facilities in the property were excellent. The view was so nice from both the front and the rear which was brilliant in the nice weather. The house itself is really handy for the bus links and walking into Brodick. John and Anne were so accommodating and really just made the stay enjoyable.
    Miss Murney - July 2018
John and Anne, the owners, were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is very clean, bright and cheerful with great views back and front. It is most convenient for shops, bus stop and local attractions. We could not have asked for more and would definitely recommend this lovely cottage.
    Mr Young - July 2018
Lovely house. Really enjoyed the welcome pack. Everything has been thought about by Anne and John. The house was IMMACULATE and the cleanliness was very evident. The rear garden area, exclusively for us, was superb especially in the sunny weather that we enjoyed. Anne and John went out of their way to make sure we had everything. Recommend Little Rock cafe for lunch or snacks - don’t go by the outside appearance. Service and food 1st class and can get busy but worth the wait !
    Mr Henderson - July 2018
This was our second visit to St Minver and just as before was excellent. Anne and John are great hosts and have thought of everything and more to make the accommodation perfect. John offers suggestions of places to walk, visit and eat and as they live next door are available without being intrusive. Convenient position in Brodick with beautiful views from front and rear windows. We will certainly return.
    Mr Cuffe - July 2018
I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for 4 days, Anne and Jonny couldn't have been anymore welcoming on arrival, after showing us the cottage and all of the facilities, we were then given a complimentary bottle of wine cheese and crackers. I'm a big Liverpool fan and that weekend Liverpool were in the champions league final, Anne went out of her way to find out who was showing it, and luckily the golf club just down the road had it on, it also does really nice food. Anne and Jonny certainly go the extra mile to make things nice for you, you literally couldn't meet a nicer couple, as for the cottage, it was absolutely pristine. I would highly recommend St Minver to others and I'd certainly go back there again. Hopefully be back there soon!
    Mr Scorer - May 2018
The location is ideal. Convenient for buses and ferry but there are 2 features that make St.Minver cottage really stand out. The views from every window are fantastic. I never tired of them ...even in the rain . Lastly ,but definitely not least, are the hosts , John and Anne. Wonderful people who couldn't be more helpful or kind which I really appreciated . St.Minver the place to stay.
    Miss Mcdonald - May 2018
Lovely clean property excellently equipped great sea view and use of garden hut to store my cycle. Also very handy welcoming pack. On arrival ann and john helped us with our cases. Not got one complaint.
    Mr Muir - April 2018
We found St Minver a very comfortable, well equipped holiday base. Anne and John are the perfect hosts and the welcome pack one of the best we have received. We walked the coastal way while we were there and found the local bus service, which stops at the end of the drive, very reliable. We would definitely stay at St Minver again if we return to Arran.
    Mrs Lomax - April 2018
The cottage is conveniently placed being only a short walk away from many of the island's attractions, Bradick village and ferry, golf course, beautiful spa and swimming pool, good restaurants, Brodick Castle and gardens and mountain walks. The owners had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable and we hope to return soon.
    Mrs Scott - November 2017
Just perfect. Warm friendly welcome but not intrusive. Excellent accommodation, thoughtfully created. The location is great and the views were wonderful. Spotlessly clean and of course they go the extra mile with a welcome pack of wine and Arran produce. Would most defiantly visit again and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.
Mr And Mrs Mccallum - October 2017
From the personal greeting at the gate to the very thoughtful and generous welcome pack to the beautifully furnished cottage we had an excellent holiday at St Minver. We cannot recommend it too highly.
    Mr Smaldon - October 2017
We loved St Minver it was perfect. Ideally situated for restaurants in Brodick but lovely and peaceful with great views. Anne and John had thought of every requirement and had lots of useful tips for walks. Their welcome pack was wonderful and we hope to stay there again in the future.
    Mrs Fairclough - September 2017
This was our 2nd visit to St Minver & Arran. The welcome we received from John & Anne, coming to meet us as we stepped out the car made up for the rain on the boat.We were so happy to be back on Arran & from our walks & cycles & sightseeing trips by car around the island I think St Minver has the best 'location, location, location'.The views across the front garden, Brodick Bay & the golf course are beautiful & the patio doors at back give great views of the hills. It is so tranquil & peaceful. The cottage is so comfortable & nothing has been forgotten by John & Anne to ensure that their guests have a lovely relaxing holiday. The weather was usual for Scotland but never kept us in.We left Brodick in beautiful sunshine & drove to Lochranza. We could barely see the castle for the mist!; but when the sun came out it was beautiful, the deer sitting on the golf course & the otter we saw at Fairy dell(?). John suggested we walk in Glen Rosa & it was beautiful (had to walk through a herd of highland cattle with the bull staring at us). We only saw summit of Goatfell one evening so it was a good excuse not to climb it! A great holiday thanks to the delights of St Minver & the kindness, friendliness & helpfulness of John & Anne!
    Mr Deighan - September 2017
Wonderful find. The owners had put a lot of style and flair into decorating the cottage, ensuring we and others who chose to book St. Minver had a relaxed and pleasant stay. We were greeted by the owners as soon as we arrived on the drive, they showed us the property, explaining where everything was. The cottage was well stocked with towels, bedding and shower gels. In the kitchen they had placed washing up liquid, cleaning products and a washing machine. Then they went above expectations and placed eggs, milk, a bottle of wine, Arran cheese, biscuits and chutney for our enjoyment. We highly recommend St. Minver to anyone considering a holiday on the Isle of Arran.
    Mr Bonehill - September 2017
St Minver is a first class cottage for two. Extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. John and Anne are very friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend St Minver to our friends.
    Mr Hague - September 2017
A great place to stay for a break on Arran. Exactly as shown on the photo's, including the wonderful views. Wonderful reception from Anne and John together with suggestions for good walks and places to visit.
    Mrs Gray - August 2017
St Minver suited our needs perfectly. It was on the outskirts of Brodick so access to shops etc was easy. It was beautifully equipped with everything we needed and had beautiful views at front and back. We visited the excellent Arran Heritage Museum and went on a trip on the paddle steamer Waverly from Brodick. We did several walks as well as driving round the island. On our last evening we had an excellent meal at eighteen 69 at the Auchrannie resort of tapas with a Scottish theme.
Mr And Mrs Rowntree - August 2017
Thoughtfully planned, comfortable accomodation, great views, outside eating area, handy for town and surprise welcome pack provided by very hospitable hosts.
    Mr Kent - May 2017
Everything you could possibly need in this cottage, plus a perfect location on Arran, to walk to attractions and Brodick, plus beautiful walks from the doorstep. Have never experienced such a warm welcome as we got from the owners, who were very helpful throughout our stay.
    Mrs Smith - May 2017
We spent a lovely relaxing week at this well equipped cottage. It had everything one needed in all areas. The bedroom was beautiful with a stunning out look. There was toiletries which added a nice little touch in shower room. Should we return to Arran John and Anne would be our first choice as they are perfect hosts. Ps the welcome pack was most appreciated Jim&irene 15 /4 / 2017 to 22/4/2017
    Mr Mcnaught - April 2017
We spent a week at St Minver Cottage and enjoyed it very much indeed. The owners, John and Anne, are friendly and welcoming. Their welcome pack is probably the best we have had anywhere with Arran cheese, chutney and oatcakes, milk and eggs in the fridge - and even a bottle of white wine! The Cottage is certainly small but we found it warm and comfortable, attractively decorated and extremely well equipped with crockery, cutlery, cleaning materials etc. We had generally good weather for our week so we were really sitting in St Minver only in the evenings when we watched some of the selection of DVDs also thoughtfully provided by John and Anne. We ate outside on the patio, very comfortable table and chairs, when the family and friends looked in on us. The Cottage has lovely views - Brodick Bay to the front and the mountains to the back. We would return to St Minver and will recommend it to friends. Robert & Hazel, Troon
    Mr Macdonald - April 2017
Enjoyed every minute at St Minver. Spotless with everything you needed. Hosts full of ideas, with knowledge of walks and the whole of Arran. Will not hesitate to return. Shops, pubs, and pier all within walking distance, bus service also great, whole tour around the island for £5.70. Would recommend it without hesitation.
    Mrs Pullen - April 2017
This is such a lovely place to stay. The accommodation is part of Anne and John's bungalow, but completely separate with own entrance and own outdoor space. It is so cosy, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and finished to a very high standard. We had everything we could possibly need, including lots of information about the island and also a lovely welcome pack from the owners. Anne and John were really friendly, providing any extra info we needed and making sure we felt at home. The cottage has fantastic views over the golf course and to the sea from the bedroom window. For those with cars, there is a space on the drive. The island is stunning. We saw lots of wildlife, went on many long walks with amazing views, and ate lots of lovely food. We particularly liked the GlenIlse bistro in Lamlash and spent valentine's there - the food is superb. The cheese shop is within walking distance and is well worth a visit, as is the distillery in Lochranza (also has a nice cafe). For the avid mountain biker there are many trails on the island, and for those who like luxury, I would recommend a day at the Auchrannie spa - fabulous! We utterly enjoyed our week-long holiday on this beautiful and friendly island and will be back in the future.
    Miss Edwards - February 2017
We would highly recommend this lovely accommodation with sea views. Exceptionally well decorated and beautifully clean and comfortable. Just what we needed for a short stay on the Isle of Arran. The owners are friendly and welcoming and left us lots of goodies to enjoy. Particularly good for us as the owners were willing to allow us to book a short break instead of a full week. We can't wait to go back and stay again.
    Mrs Major - October 2016
This is one of the most perfect places we have stayed. John and Anne were very welcoming and helpful. The welcoming pack was lovely. Well planned accommodation, beautifully presented. Everything you could possibly want, lovely patio with fabulous views both front and rear.
    Mrs Wallwork - October 2016
The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated. The gardens were lovely with plenty of birds feeding with some red squirrels passing through. The view across the golf course and out to sea was lovely. it was just a short walk to the seashore path. It was only 25 minutes walk to Brodick Castle along the beach or 15 minutes to the shops in the other direction. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We hope to return again next year. It was a perfect ten days holiday all round.
    Mrs Turner - September 2016
Lovely accommodation with all that you require for a self catering holiday on the isle of Arran. Anne and John were ideal hosts Very friendly, always available if needed and a pleasure to talk to. The welcome pack was a nice surprise and very thoughtful. The accommodation is ideal for two people, easy to maintain and only a few minutes drive from the ferry. Lovely views from both the front and back of the property and your own private outdoor sitting areas to enjoy both. All in a beautifully maintained garden. We loved Arran, having visited 30 years ago it was nice to see it as we remembered. We walked from the door into Glen Rosa which is spectacular, seeing a stag on the hillside was a bonus, and also enjoyed our days with the seals at Kildonan and Blackwaterfoot. We saw otters on the way into Corrie and also saw one walking around the rocks at Kildonan. The Arran Heritage Museum just along the road, with a nice little cafe, was very interesting too. Lots more on the list which we didn't manage so will have to return, for two weeks next time. At St Minver? Definitely!
    Mrs Amor - September 2016
Having not long returned from our stay at St Minver we would just like to thank our hosts John and Ann very much for a very well maintained, beautifully presented annexe for our holiday on Arran. We would both also like to thank them for our very individual welcome as well as the individual welcome package, it just made the start to our stay even more enjoyable. The information and tips supplied by John and Ann were second to none and they are a fantastic couple and we feel very privileged to have met them and stayed at there lovely home. Once again a 5*+ accommodation.
    Mr Reay - August 2016
We had a lovely time at St Minver. The owners were so nice. Left a lovely welcome pack and was much appreciated. The place was spotless and lovely wee details. DVDs to watch books re Arran walks and binoculars in most rooms. The view was lovely and their garden was gorgeous. We will definately go back.
    Mrs Cuthbert - July 2016
Lovely holiday accommodation furnished to a very high standard.
    Mrs Goodwin - July 2016
Ann & John couldn't have treated us better if we'd have been family
    Mr Commins - July 2016
Can't fault this property-one of the best we have ever stayed in, John and Ann were lovely hosts and have thought of everything in terms of the contents and decor of the property.
    Mr Turnbull - June 2016
St Minver has everything. Much thought has been put into the house. Comfy bed. Very quiet location. You will want for nothing. Great views too. Your own little sun trap patio area at the back. Car unnecessary.
    Mr Darnes - June 2016
Very clean, well appointed with good furnishings. Plenty of 'light' reading and guidebooks. Easy to manage. 'Bathroom' would have been a tight squeeze for a large person.
    Mrs Thorp - May 2016
Anne and John went out of there way to ensure we had an enjoyable holiday. We would book again.
    Mr Halliday - May 2016
A great house; stunning views at front of house of the garden, golf course & Brodick Bay; beautiful views of hills from back patio doors & lovely quiet peaceful patio area to sit in & enjoy sun after a busy day walking & cycling. The apartment is beautifully appointed & Anne & John have worked hard to ensure nothing had been forgotten to ensure our every comfort. This was our first holiday in Arran (wish we had discovered it years ago) but it will not be our last. Anne & John were most helpful in informing us of places to visit, as was a lady in the tourist information. It was too stormy for the seals the day we visited Kildonan but we watched them on several visits to Lamlash Bay. We climbed Goat Fell on a very windy day;didn't stay long at top but views were wonderful. Walked to Corrie nan Lochan,as recommended by John & Anne. If you continue up slope on left to a cairn you get a different view of Goat Fell & then look back down hillside to lochan & views of Mull of Kintyre.Stunning! All in all a great holiday thanks to welcome & hospitality of John & Anne; the amazing scenery around the island & the friendliness of all the people we met.

Looking for somewhere to stay on Arran, there wasn't much self-catering accommodation for just a couple. St Minver was just right for my wife and I - quiet, comfortable accommodation. Lovely view of the sea across the golf course from the bedroom. John and Anne were very welcoming and helpful. Definitely highly recommended.

What a gem. Perfect location with perfect hosts. Tastefully decorated & extra touches made a small property feel luxurious. Peaceful location but central for so much & a beautiful sea view out the bedroom window. Brodick Brasserie & Fiddlers were particularly good for food & within easy walking distance.
