This old farm bothy has been lovingly converted into a stylish country hideaway, with a romantic open-plan interior and uninterrupted views of rural Perthshire on all sides.

Situated overlooking the pretty village of Dunning lies this converted farm bothy which has been cleverly designed to provide couples with a romantic base to explore this stunning area of Perthshire. Enjoy spectacular views over Strathearn whilst sitting in the garden or discover many of the walking trails on offer that wind through glens, forests and mountains, right from the doorstep of the cottage.

This delightful property provides a lovely bright and fresh interior with vibrant fabrics and neutral tones throughout, giving it a warm, friendly and cosy feel. The open-plan design in the living area provides space and light for entertaining guests or for those romantic candlelit dinners for two. Either way, it is the perfect space to hang out with loved ones or friends over dinner and a glass of wine.

Tastefully converted, the cottage is arranged over two floors with the first-floor mezzanine level overlooking the living area on the ground floor. The open-plan living area is compact and comfortable with lovely wood effect flooring throughout. Also on the ground floor is the shower room and WC. Stairs lead up to the mezzanine level bedroom with crisp white tones and a snug layout. The accommodation has all you need for that intimate romantic hideaway.

Outside the cottage, across the courtyard you can sit in the garden area and watch the sun go down over a glass of wine and listen to the sounds of the surrounding farmland and wildlife. Submersed in the wild landscape of Perthshire might make you feel like you never want to leave

Located in the heart of Perthshire means you will be in reach of some of the highlights the Highlands have to offer. The local village of Dunning (1.5 miles) is an ancient historical settlement and still classed as one of the most prettiest inland villages in Scotland. Surrounded by beautiful countryside the village has a variety of circular walks on offer as well as a local shop, post office and two pubs.

 

The beautiful ancient city of Perth (10 miles) is just a twenty minute drive away and is teaming with sites to see and activities to try. With its waterside location on the bank of the River Tay, it is one of Scotland's most cosmopolitan cities , rich in culture and history displaying monuments, art galleries, museums, bustling cobbled streets, Georgian townhouses, restaurants, boutiques and so much more. This city never ceases to surprise you and you will not be disappointed if you spend a whole day exploring here.

 

The village of Auchterarder (6.5 miles) often known as ‘Lang Toun' is not one to be missed as it has the longest street in Scotland. It has spectacular countryside views and is filled with bustling shops, cafes and restaurants, also home to the very famous Gleneagles Hotel which is prestigious in the world of golfing. Even if golf is not your sport, you will find this attractive little village a hidden gem to explore.

The 'Bothy' was perfect. Location is so tranquil and the views are magnificent. Owners were really nice and friendly and we had a great stay. Really easy to travel around the area for some great walks. Superb value for money. Thank you for a really lovely break away from everything.

Lovely quiet and remote location but in easy reach of everything we wanted to see and do. The Bothy is lovely with just enough space and facilities without going overboard, Lovely hosts, we felt looked after but not crowded. We would come back in a heart beat.

We loved our stay at the Bothy, it's charming and was the perfect size for the two of us. It's set in picturesque countryside with epic views from the end of the driveway and is a great base to explore from. It's a warm, comfortable place to come home to at the end of the day.

Beautiful Bothy, great area and extremely dog friendly. The Bothy itself is very well presented with everything you need for your stay. The host left, milk coffee and teabags which was a lovely thoughtful touch which my husband was delighted with. If you want a quiet week away then this is the place to go great view over the countryside everything you need in the bothy cleanliness and decor up to a very high standard will return later in the year, Mr & Mrs Mason make you very welcome .

Great cottage in a lovely location with wonderful views. The cottage was very clean and cosy. Plenty of places to go round about the area. Had some nice walks in woodlands not far from the cottage. There is a great distillery not far away. And Stirling is only a 50 minute drive away.

Lovely little bothy, location at the top of the hill giving fantasist panoramic views of the hills. Well worth a visit to the local pub The Kirkstyle Inn, great food and friendly staff.

The Bothy was lovely and clean throughout with great views. We had a brilliant holiday and Perthshire is a definite must to visit. Beautiful cottage big enough for 2. A great jumping off base to tour the surrounding area. The local pub serves good meals if you don't feel like cooking. Great for the dogs our 2 loved every minute. A home from home. We will be back again.

We absolutely loved our stay! The bothy had a real homely feeling to it as we entered. It was lovey and warm and the heating doesnt take long to heat up! The views out the window are lovely and mr and Mrs mason came round to make sure that everything was okay which we thought was lovely of them. On arrival there was tea, coffee, milk left for us.
