    Tigh Na Mara reviews
We stayed at Tigh Na Mara with our two children, friends and grandparents. It is a lovely house with lots of space, great views and a stones throw from the sea. Our little boy loved watching the ferries coming in and out in the morning whilst his grandparents had a lie in far enough away to not be woken by his enthusiastic playing.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable, we'll equipped house with a lovely garden & stunning views over Brodick bay to the hills. Only a short walk from the ferry terminal, co-op across the road, Chinese takeaway & the Brodick bar/restaurant minutes away.
    Mrs Boyd - June 2019
Lovely house in a great central location so handy for shops and eating places. Nice clean and fresh décor with everything you need. Would certainly return and recommend to others.

We stayed at the Tigh Na Mara in the middle of May 2019. The house is perfectly situated in Brodick Bay with the added bonus of a view of GoatFell from the sitting room window. When we arrived on a slightly chilly day we found the Central Heating was on all ready and the house lovely and warm, all ways a good start. The house is extremely well equipped you could not have asked for more, the owner's have obviously spent a lot of time studying the needs of holiday makers. During our week long stay we fell in love with Arran and will definitely be back, and would not hesitate to book Tigh Na Mara again.
    Mr Haylor - May 2019
Tigh Na Mara was absolutely beautiful, decor was relaxing and rooms were very comfortable. Amazing views and perfect location. The mogabout safari is worth going on, very informative.
    Ms Johnstone - May 2019
Lovely comfortable home close to all amenities. Everything we could wish for was there. We were 3 generations and tigh na Mara suited all from beach and parks to music and food in local pubs. We made soap in Arran Aromatics, sampled locally made ice cream every day. Arran catered well for our Grandson with allergies. Great holiday
    Mrs Mcintosh - April 2019
A very relaxing and comfortable , especailly looking out of the lounge window across the sea and to Brodick Castle and beyond. Gus the owner was very attentive, helpful and considerate.
    Mr Herrington - April 2019
Tigh Na Mara is a beautiful home, and the views of Goat Fell and the bay from the living room window are especially nice. We spent hours reading and looking out of the window, I would never get tired of that view. We were 8 persons and did not feel cramped at all, there is room for everyone to sit in the living room and at the dinner table. The house has a great location, you can walk along the beach, see the shops and visit the restaurants on foot. We had cars, but this would be a great house even if you were just on foot, its a short walk from the ferry terminal, and you can get to Ardrossan on the other side by train. We went to Crofters (formally Fiddlers) which was the best as always, live music and amazing food. And Hooked and Cooked one night for a takeaway, also very good, and the Auchrannie Resort one night (which again you can walk to from the house easily) which is a beautiful hotel and restaurant. In terms of sightseeing Arran has everything, but I would always recommend Machrie Moor stone circles and Eas Mor waterfall (which has an adorable library in the woods nearby) if you have a car. If you don't you can walk from the house to Brodick Castle which has lovely gardens, and the shops nearby (Arran Aromatics, Arran Cheese shop, Arran Brewery) are all great to visit. And Goat Fell is a fantastic walk which you can do from the house, but bring walking boots as it is pretty strenuous! I love Arran, it's literally everything good about Scotland in one small package.
    Mrs Dostal - March 2019
Fabulous location in Brodick with magnificent views of Goatfell from the lounge window. Lovely, cosy and clean house. Would highly recommend. Surrounded by great eateries at Fiddlers, Brodick Bar and the Auchrannie restaurants.
    Mr Withers - September 2018
Brilliant views very clean and welcoming property really felt like our home immediately. Loved all the decor and homely touches .Everything was high quality which made it feel special and lots of locally sourced decor from the shop's on the island.Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely have come again to this property but we now have a puppy so don't think a dog is allowed which is unfortunate so will have to look alternative houses but non will have the stunning views if this property
    Mrs Warr - August 2018
Lovely bathrooms, well-stocked games cupboards, DVDs and bookshelves. Perfect location for eating out and visiting amenities in Brodick.
    Dr Oakes - August 2018
Tigh Na Mara is a wonderful family home. Beautifully decorated throughout with everything you could possibly need to make for a wonderful holiday. Based in the centre of Brodick meant it was so convenient for the shops, beach, walks, restaurants, cafes and close to the ferry terminal. The house itself has lovely recently decorated rooms. We especially loved the large sitting room, bedrooms and bathrooms. There were numerous extras to make our holiday worthwhile. Do take time to read the Visitors Welcome Pack it's great for providing first hand knowledge of where you can go and what you can do. During our week we had wonderful food, experienced Mogabout, completed some fabulous walks, the Playbarn, swimming, distillery etc. This was our 2nd trip to Arran and we'll be back to Tigh Na Mara
    Mrs Mcnay - April 2018
My family and I were the first ones to stay at Tigh na Mara over the October Half term and we found it to be an excellent holiday house. It has just been renovated to a very high standard and it had everything we needed and it was in an excellent location We were there with my two teenagers and then my sister and her husband joined us . Its situated right in the middle of Brodick . We didn't actually need to take our car as its walkable from the Ferry and its also walkable to both the co -ops supermarkets , the bakers , the newsagents the café and the various pubs and restaurants . Its across the road from the beach and a decent walk to Brodick castle . We took our car though as we wanted to visit the rest of the island . The best room is the large lounge as its got fantastic views across Brodick bay towards Goatfell and you can also see the Arran Ferry coming and going . The log burner was wonderful and the house generally was really very cosy . It was great to come back after a walk and set up the log burner and stare out the window . ! The house has a quirky layout and this made it very charming and there is also plenty of room for everyone to sit at the dining room through the back . When we were there the weather was very mixed but that's Arran for you . We did some lovely walks , Glenashdale Falls/Machrie standing stones/Brodick castle gardens . Had a nice dinner at The Douglas hotel(walkable) and went to the pub two doors down . Would definitely recommend this house .
