This stylish lodge is nestled in a wonderful tranquil position enjoying spectacular valley and mountain views in this Area of Outstanding Natural beauty, on the magical mystical Isle of Skye.

Set in a beautiful elevated and remote position on a working croft in the northern reaches of the magical Isle of Skye, this stylish lodge makes a superb retreat for a family or a couple looking for a tranquil getaway. Offering stunning views across the surrounding loch and towards the mountains, it makes a fantastic base for exploring this stunning region.

This stylish and spacious lodge has been attractively decorated in cool, soothing tones and is elegantly furnished to provide comfortable and welcoming accommodation for up to four guests. The lodge makes a wonderful holiday home to relax in, with fantastic rural views from the windows and balcony.

This bright, airy and attractive single-storey property has a light and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The delightful lounge offers wonderful views across the valley and makes a delightful space to relax in at the end of an exciting day. Here you can sit back, enjoy a movie, listen to music via the Bluetooth sound bar and chat late into the night about the day’s adventures. The bespoke kitchen is fully equipped and a pleasure to cook in, and the charming dining area is perfect whether you’re sharing a celebratory meal or grabbing a quick snack. There are also two cosy bedrooms, each with a TV – a double room with an en-suite Jack and Jill shower room, and a twin zip-and-link which can be made up as a super-king-size on request.

Stepping outside via the French doors, you can unwind on the decked and fully enclosed balcony which surrounds the lodge. A perfect spot for enjoying al fresco meals or for spending an evening stargazing, the balcony also offers stunning views across to the MacLeod’s Tables and the Trotternish Ridge.

Enjoying a remote location, this attractive lodge makes a perfect base for exploring the coastline and countryside of the Isle of Skye. There are numerous stunning walking and hiking routes to follow and a range of activities to take part in including horse riding, angling and golf. The picturesque village of Uig (5.5 miles) is situated in a horseshoe-shaped bay which serves as a ferry port to the Western Isles and the Hebrides. You can also take boat trips out to spot puffins, seals, sea eagles and the occasional whale. Uig is noted for its dramatic scenery and the ruins of a 17th century castle. Heading south you will reach Portree, the island's capital (12 miles) which offers a range of shopping and leisure facilities including quirky shops, friendly pubs and fantastic restaurants, as well as the Fingal Centre – with a swimming pool and gym – and the Aros Visitor and Cultural Centre which runs a programme of theatre, music and cinema. Also within easy reach are The Old Man of Storr (18.5 miles), the Lump (12.5 miles) and the Quiraing (13 miles). Heading a little further south to Sconser (24 miles) you can catch a ferry to explore the mysterious island of Raasay.

What a lovely cottage and great location! Loved the natural sun coming in and it was very clean and cozy. It was a great location for 2 little kids and we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here

Could not fault An Gleann. Very clean and thought it was new to be told its 5 years old. Very well equipped with comfortable beds. T.vs in every room with satellite. Wi-fi meant that calls could be made easily. Location still given 5 stars as although we stayed closer to Portree last time, it only took about 15 minutes. A stunning lodge in a beautiful and peaceful location. The lodge was tastefully decorated and very well equipped with everything we needed for our break. The welcome pack left by the owners was a really lovely touch and very much appreciated after a long drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return again in the future.

The cottage was amazing clean, well equipped and in a fantastic location. It was enhanced by the fabulous surrounding scenery. Couldnt find any fault with anything. If it wasnt so far we would definitely be returning. The welcome hamper was the best we have had from our many rental properties. A superb place.

The cottage was super lovely and exceeded our expectations. The property was super clean, nicely sized and well equipped. The host left us some lovely treats and greeted us once we arrived. We felt very welcome and right at home. I would 100% recommend this place to everyone.

What a breathtaking location , the photos do not do it justice , the views are beautiful. Its so quiet and easy to find , great distance from Portree. Our Host was super friendly and helpful. Our stay in Isle of Skye was the most memorable part of our 10 day holiday. Everything was impeccable, and the host truly thought of absolutely everything. Super clean and well equipped. This lovely cottage had wonderfully comfortable beds and so many additional thoughtful touches. Our host stopped by while we were sitting outside to tell us about some things we might not have known like the possibility of seeing the Northern Lights that night. Scottish hospitality at its best!

Absolutely fantastic stay at An Gleann! The accommodation was top notch, possibly the best we've ever stayed in. The host was friendly and accomodating, and we recieved an amazing welcome pack. We also enjoyed meeting the farm collies- Moss in particular! Everything was provided for, from all the kitchen utensils, right through to robes and Harris Read moreTweed coasters.
