This stylish detached lodge with lovely countryside views. Nestled in a peaceful location, benefiting from a spacious hot tub, perfect for relaxing in after an epic day out.

Luxuriate in your hot tub or gaze up at the stars as you warm yourself beside your firepit at this quiet holiday cottage, which sleeps up to four guests. Relish the bright, open space of your lodge-style property close to the historic Scottish village of Kilmacolm and indulge in days out to the exciting city of Glasgow or even head over to Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park – or simply take in the rolling countryside views from the comfort of your peaceful abode.

This is a contemporary holiday home with a generous spoonful of luxury. Enjoy the fresh interior and clean lines of its living space, as well as the country appeal of its kitchen. It has a clever design, with an easy flow between the inside and outside living areas; the large windows serve to draw the pretty rural views right into its rooms.

The spacious lounge/kitchen/diner with floor to ceiling windows allow the room to flood with light, allowing you to feel part of the countryside, even when you’re indoors. Settle down inside to watch TV, enjoy a meal together or just marvel at the fabulous views. Open the French doors on warm days so you can wander out into the sunshine. The kitchen area is sociable allowing you to chat with your friends and family whilst preparing food. The hallway leads to lovely, comfortable bedrooms which will afford you a great night’s sleep. The bathroom, with its luxurious free-standing bath, is also down here. The master bedroom has its own TV, en-suite shower room and even a dressing room.

Outside is pure luxury. Dine out in the open air of your sunny enclosed patio area or bring a cold bottle and a couple of glasses over to the enclosed hot tub and pour yourself some bubbly to enjoy as you soak. Light the firepit as dusk falls and simply enjoy being outdoors. Your holiday lodge also comes with generous off-road parking.

Spend time in Kilmacolm, home to one of only two residential houses completely designed by Scottish architect, designer and artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Admire the town's beautiful architecture, shop in its independent stores for provisions and browse in the craft centre. Stroll to the old ruins of Duchal Castle, which stand on a rocky outcrop between the Green Water and the Blacketty Water. Visit Glen Moss Nature Reserve, 4.5 miles from your holiday home, with its areas of marshland, woodland and wet heath, which are a haven for wildlife.

Follow a section of the 66-mile Clyde to Forth cycle route that passes close by and runs alongside a canal. Venture into Glasgow, approximately 21 miles away and while you are here, spend time at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, with its world-class collection of art and artefacts, and wander round the impressive Riverside Museum. Also explore the Clyde-built Tall Ship, which is berthed close by. See the Hunterian, which houses one of the most important collections of the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, or visit the Barras Market and peruse its colourful stalls; wander down interesting streets of shops and stop for something to eat in one of the city's many restaurants, pubs or cafés.
