This beautiful traditional stone barn conversion is set in a tranquil spot surrounded by picturesque farmland in the beautiful Angus Glen. Based at the foot of Glenisla, the property offers fresh, welcoming and elegant accommodation for up to eight guests. You will be welcome to explore the extensive farmland which is also home to The Courtyard where you can buy anything from jewellery, kitchenware and books to antiques, local jams, cheeses and sweets. The farm also features a lovely coffee shop and a farm shop. Ideally situated midway between the bustling city of Dundee and the popular Glenshee Ski Centre, the property makes a fantastic base for family or a group of friends looking for an idyllic retreat in this stunning part of Scotland.

This former barn has been imaginatively converted to provide stunning and cosy accommodation. Elegantly designed and decorated in bright and relaxing tones, the property features a fantastic and beautifully furnished open-plan living area with bi-fold doors, flagstone flooring and a beamed ceiling. The property also offers a charming reading gallery overlooking the living space as well as a lovely outdoor hot tub for you to unwind in at the end of a wonderful day.

Entering this wonderful, airy and inviting semi-detached property you will find yourself in the stunning open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The charming lounge is an ideal space to relax, chat and snuggle up with a movie. The kitchen is fully equipped and makes a stylish space for preparing your favourite meals which you can enjoy sharing in the centrally located dining area. Exploring the ground floor further, there are two lovely king-size bedrooms – one with an en-suite shower room.

Going up the stairs to the first floor you will find the delightful reading gallery which overlooks the main living space and is the perfect place to retreat to if you want to catch up with a good book and enjoy some of your own company. There are also two further bedrooms: a single room and a triple room.

Moving outside, you can enjoy a BBQ or an al fresco meal in the pretty and sheltered courtyard which features outdoor furniture, a private hot tub and views across the open countryside. You are also welcome to explore the farm which covers some 650 acres and is home to about 600 sheep and 200 cows. The farm shop stocks a range of local produce, and there’s also a coffee shop and the Courtyard, where a variety of craft demonstrations and workshops take place throughout the year.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Situated just half a mile from the shore of the beautiful Loch of Lintrathen, this delightful property is surrounded by wonderful countryside with plenty of attractions, with chances to spot deer, feed the ducks or meet some of the resident chickens. The spectacular Reekie Linn Waterfall is a pleasant walk away (1.5 miles) or you could head to Glamis Castle (12 miles) – the childhood home of the Queen Mother and the setting for Shakespeare's Macbeth.

There are also several golf courses within easy reach including Kirriemuir (9 miles), Glenisla (5.5 miles) and Alyth (5.5 miles), with the famous Carnoustie Links a little further afield (30 miles). The fascinating Meigle Museum (9 miles) is home to a display of Pictish stone carvings dating back over a thousand years. The thriving town of Kirriemuir is nearby (8.5 miles), and is the home of Kirriemuir Camera Obscura, the Gateway to the Glens Museum and the JM Barrie Birthplace – in honour of the creator of Peter Pan.

Blairgowrie (12miles) offers a variety of great restaurants, cafes, pubs, supermarkets, independent shops, galleries, leisure facilities and a swimming pool. Lying on the banks of the River Ericht, Blairgowrie is the starting point of the circular 60-mile Cateran Trail. The popular market town of Forfar (14 miles) has a choice of independent shops, restaurants and pubs, and is home to numerous attractions including the Meffan Museum and Art Gallery, Forfar Loch Country Park and the Pitmuies Gardens.

Really lovely cottage, spacious, clean and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the location on the farm and being surrounded by animals with easy access to Glen Isla and the Cairngorms.

The property was beautiful with so much space and the staff all very friendly, the only downside I would say is the location. However, if nice weather then there is much more to enjoy in the local area

Had a great Easter break at the Glenisla escape. Used it as a base to visit Dundee, Stirling & Arbroath, bit of driving involved for all destinations. The house itself was perfect, hot tub at night was a favourite. Family used the Cafe next door and said it was very good. Would return and recommend to others.
