Surrounded by picturesque grounds, this property is perfect for families with four-legged friends. Beyond this lie wonderful walking opportunities, with unspoilt countryside all around. The nearby coastal village of St Combs (5 miles) is home to a popular bistro pub, mini supermarket, ice cream/chip shop and park. Here you will also find a vast expanse of open sandy beach backed by hills and grassy dunes that stretch south all the way to Peterhead (12.5 miles). Stroll along the shore to Rattray Head Lighthouse (7.5 miles), keeping your eyes peeled for seals sleeping on the sands along the way. The nearby Strathbeg Nature Reserve (4 miles) is not far from the beach and boasts Britain’s largest dune loch together with resident ospreys during the summer months. Pitsligo Castle (7.5 miles) dates back to the 15th century and still retains heraldic carvings, a stair tower and a coat of arms.
