Switch off from the stresses of everyday life in this stunning property at the foothills of the Angus Glens. The area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with walks in all directions and the edge of Cairngorms National Park just 14 miles away. Your nearest town is Kirriemuir, which has a great selection of independent eateries. The lodge sleeps two guests – perfect for a romantic getaway – and also accommodates a further two guests on a sofa bed if required. Spend your evenings soaking up the tranquillity in your private hot tub or enjoying a beer with fellow guests around the shared firepit.

The bespoke micro lodge really does have the wow factor. With exposed woodwork throughout and stunning views towards the valley, you’ll feel relaxed and immersed in nature during your stay. The property’s open-plan layout, coupled with crisp decor and soft furnishings, makes the lodge feel bright and spacious.

Spend quality time together in the stylish lodge, sharing meals at the breakfast bar overlooking the valley or watching a film on the TV. In the evening, crack open a bottle of wine and snuggle up on the comfortable sofa (which handily converts into a small double bed if required – great for younger guests). The chic kitchen area has everything you need to whip up a delicious meal, including a gas hob, oven, and microwave. When day turns to night, retreat to the inviting king-size bed for a good night’s rest, ready for another day of adventure. A shower room completes this beautiful lodge.

Heading outside, discover an enclosed decked balcony. Seating is provided so you can enjoy evenings of al fresco dining under the stars, followed by a dip in your own private wood-fired hot tub. Pure bliss! You’ll also have access to a shared firepit and BBQ hut.

Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, it’s hard to resist the urge to get outdoors and explore. Set at the foothills of the Angus Glens, and just 14 miles from the southern edge of Cairngorms National Park, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to walking routes in the area.

Head to the foot of Glen Clova (6.5 miles) to unearth a spectacular walk around Airlie Monument. Stride out across open moorland, with majestic views of the Angus Glens ahead of you, before climbing high into the mountains for yet more jaw-dropping vistas.

Soak up 1000 years of Scottish history at Glamis Castle (8.5 miles). Explore the childhood home of HM Queen Elizabeth and the Queen Mother, before taking a stroll around the immaculate Italian gardens. The castle has a fantastic tearoom, serving delicious local produce, much of which is grown on the estate.

While away a lazy afternoon pottering around the winding, narrow streets of Kirriemuir (4 miles). The town is renowned for being the birthplace of JM Barrie, creator of Peter Pan, and you can visit his birthplace, which is now owned by the National Trust. The town is also home to a fascinating camera obscura, offering magnificent, panoramic views of Kirriemuir and its dramatic surrounding landscape.

A fantastic pod- it was immaculate -bed was super comfy and it had everything we required . The hot tub was a added bonus . Chris was very welcoming and friendly and on hand if we required anything- Would highly recommend this as a place to book

We couldnt have been happier with our stay at this beautiful location. The accommodation was immaculate, extremely comfortable with an amazing shower and wonderful king size bed. First of all I would like to thank the owners of the pod for been very welcoming! We were greeted and shown to our pod and explained how everything works also offered to help with our bags. The hot tub was already perfect temperature when we arrived, as a added extra due to it been valentines day we were greeted in our pod with a box of chocolates Read moreand a bottle of champagne.
