Pet-friendly holidays in Angus
You and your canine companions will love our dog-friendly cottages in Angus. Situated in the east of Scotland, below Aberdeen and incorporating Dundee, our Angus cottages are in an area steeped in history with an abundance of natural beauty. Whether you’re a couple looking for romantic walks on the coast or a family wanting to partake in a variety of adrenaline-filled activities, there will be dog-friendly cottages in Angus to suit your needs. With a wealth of walking routes from the doorstep of our dog-friendly cottages, you and your four-legged friends will be spoilt for choice. You can also venture a little further north to the spectacular Cairngorms National Park, where the scenery is simply breathtaking, come rain or shine. Further afield, we have a range of Central Scotland cottages and places to stay all over Scotland perfect for all the adventures you have in mind.
Located on the North Sea, the Angus coastline is dramatic and rugged, but the views from the coastal footpaths and beaches are wonderful. Further inland, Kirriemuir is known as the ‘Gateway to the Glens’ and is a great base for exploring the braes of Angus and the many activities on offer. It also has a range of shops and eateries, as does ‘Capital of Cool’, Dundee. Munro-baggers will be pleased to know that Ben Tirran is in Angus, whereas others might be just as happy with the beauty of Glen Clova. Scotland is the ideal holiday location for wildlife enthusiasts, with some of Britain’s rarest wildlife on your doorstep; if you head to Scottish Wildlife Trust’s reserve at the Loch of Lintrathen you may get a glimpse of majestic ospreys and playful otters.
This is an amazing part of Scotland to visit and if you need some more inspiration on what to do with the pooch, check out our guide to dog-friendly holidays in Scotland.
