Scottish cottages by the sea
Surrounded on three sides by crashing seas, constant tides and deep blue sea lochs, it’s not surprising that Scotland is an almost unrivalled location for a coastal holiday and our coastal cottages in Scotland can provide a wonderful base to get out and explore from. From the mysterious and beautiful inhabited islands of the Outer Hebrides where the Irish Sea crashes, to the soft sands that are found along Scotland’s eastern or western coast, you’re sure to find the perfect seaside holiday across Scotland’s varied and unspoilt coastline.
We have a fantastic collection of Scottish coastal cottages, including cosy beachside properties, Scottish cottages by the sea, stylish log cabins, and beautiful detached properties with unparalleled views out to an endless horizon of blue. Try surfing or a range of water sports, or for something a little more relaxing, take a boat trip to an island nature reserve and marvel at the marine life thriving on the islands. As well as outdoor adventure and endless activities to try, the seafood around the coast is some of the best in the UK. Freshly caught out the sea, you can sample this in many of the restaurants and pubs across coastal Scotland. Hunt down a local fish shop and take it home to your beachside cottage where you can whip up a tasty meal. This is a lovely way to enjoy our cottages by the sea.
If you’re planning on experiencing the North Coast 500, our Scottish coastal cottages make the perfect pit stops along the route.
