A wonderful place to unwind, this single-storey property is charming and is set amongst some of Perthshire’s prettiest landscapes. Sleeping four people in two rooms, it could be a haven for a family looking for a quiet getaway where being outdoors is a priority. Or, even for a small group of friends keen to get out exploring on foot thanks to many wonderful walks nearby.

The property is decorated tastefully throughout, with an emphasis on providing a calm and tranquil environment. Walls and furnishings are all neutral, with a few nods to Scotland’s heritage through tartan finishing touches. Plus, it remains light and bright due to several large windows that provide spectacular views of Perthshire.

Arriving at this home, you are greeted by countryside vistas and the hills of Mount Blair and Over Craig via the large patio door in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This is a perfect place to relax in front of the wood burner, read a book, watch a movie or cook a meal together. Alternatively, sit in the hot tub and just enjoy listening to the birdsong and unwind. The master bedroom with an en-suite shower room is located at the end of the building. The final bedroom is a twin which can make use of the family bathroom which has a shower over the bath.

Outside, the garden is enclosed and ensures you can relax whilst children play, and you can enjoy the surrounding countryside. Plus, on the decked area with seating is a hot tub and a BBQ. There’s private parking for two cars available too.

The area surrounding the cottage allows you to truly step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. While there is so much to do nearby, you could easily spend the day at the property just unwinding inside with a book, or outside in the hot tub looking at the land around you.

However, there are great opportunities to explore the regions of Perthshire and Aberdeenshire too. The tourist village of Pitlochry is 18 miles away and has great walks to the Fish Ladder Dam, or for whisky enthusiasts, take one of the fantastic tours at Blair Atholl Distillery, 19 miles away. Also worth a visit is the historic town of Braemar and Royal Deeside, 21 miles north over the mountain, Cairnwell.

Alongside the abundance of forest and mountain walks, there may be some of your group wanting an adrenaline buzz. Local activity providers run year-round activities including rafting, clay pigeon shooting and quad biking whilst canyoning and adventure tubing are available in the summer. Finally, if you come in the winter, you are only 12 miles south of the Glenshee ski area with some of the best on and off-piste skiing to be had in Scotland.

Beautiful cottage, furnished with everything you could possibly need. Location perfect, and secluded which is just what we were after. Views from our French doors were equally amazing
