To the north is the picturesque Wigtownshire village of Glenluce (5 miles). Nestling in a delightful valley, the village is known for the ruins of the 12th-century Glenluce Abbey which houses a museum of monastic life. First self catering place we have stayed at which had all that we needed. The small things; salt pepper, sugar, a pizza cutter. The tech things; state of art TV's, bluetooth speakers. The comfort things: loads of hot water, good heating system and a bottle of plonk! If you want to relax and chill out in comfort this is the place.
