Relax and switch off from everyday life on your own decked balcony complete with hot tub, where you can soak in the fine, Highland air and then retire to the beautiful rooms inside the lodge.

The property is one of nine lodges and sits in an elevated position on the bank of the bay. Its architecture is stunningly designed to make the most of the light, views, and sloping coastline. The decor is contemporary and chic, with calming colours and details that will make your stay feel super indulgent.

Head into the lodge to find yourself in the spacious open-plan living space, a delightfully light and inviting room combining kitchen, dining area and lounge. The lounge is relaxing and cosy, with vast windows and French doors opening out onto the balcony, bringing the coastal landscape right into the room with you. The kitchen is a smart space, with a neighbouring dining table where you can enjoy romantic meals together. Head through into your bedroom, a luxurious space with sumptuous king-size bed, relaxing natural decor, and an en-suite bathroom with both bath and shower and a double handbasin.

You can head out from the bedroom straight onto the decked balcony, on which sits your special treat, the hot tub. Soak in the fresh air, stargaze in the clear night sky, or simply listen to the sounds of the waves breaking in the bay.

Head on a day trip to Colvend, 16.5 miles away, where you'll find a lovely golf course for a leisurely round nestled beside the coast, the Bainloch Deer Park where you can spy on these amazing local creatures, or discover the Mote of Mark, an ancient hillfort with a mysterious and spooky history.

To pick up some supplies or enjoy a meal out, head to the rural village of Auchencairn. It's a lovely 3-mile walk away. Or for more town life, head to Castle Douglas, 11 miles inland. Castle Douglas is a pretty place to roam and take in the unique culture of Dumfries and Galloway. Visit Threave Castle, which sits on a grassy island within a loop of the River Dee.
