Accommodation & places to stay in Glenfinnan

Surrounded by towering mountains and situated at the head of Loch Shiel, 17 miles west from Fort William, our Glenfinnan cottages boast one of the most dramatic settings for a holiday in the Highlands. Breathtaking scenery lies on the doorsteps of our self-catering holiday cottages in Glenfinnan, with an abundance of tracks and trails for walking and mountain biking - great for lovers of the outdoors. You can enjoy the great outdoors when using our Glenfinnan holiday cottages as a base.

This hamlet is particularly famous for its monument marking the spot where Bonnie Prince Charlie came ashore for the final Jacobite rising in 1745. It is also home to the ancient Glenfinnan viaduct which carries the railway to Glenfinnan Station across a 1,000 ft span, 100 ft above the ground. The celebrated Jacobite Steam Train, which stops off at Glenfinnan and continues to Fort William and Mallaig on the west coast, is also the very same Hogwarts Express used in the Harry Potter movies. Experience all of this when staying in our great Scotland cottages.

If you have plans to drive the beautiful ‘Road to the Isles’ and tour the West Highlands, our holiday cottages in Glenfinnan offer a relaxing place to unwind during your adventures. Loch Ness, The Isle of Skye, Ardnamurchan and Oban are all a comfortable journey from here. There are also three golf courses nearby in Traigh, Fort William and Ballachulish. Plus, if you’re visiting in August, you can experience the epic Glenfinnan Highland Games – a terrific day out not to be missed! Keep our Glenfinnan accommodation and places to stay in mind.
